I suppose it’s important to the joke what that gray creature is. If it’s a dog, it doesn’t make sense unless it’s a shepherd that can’t herd sheep. If it’s a wolf, has it eaten the *whole* flock? And why did it hang around?
Okay. I’m seeing this just as the dog just isn’t good at his job and feels a bit abashed. It’s not really funny. But it’s a bit idiosyncratic. A little.
Odd that it is a sheep that has apparently hired the shepherd/dog to nanny over the lambs. That is to say, where are the humans in this?
