  1. Arthur’s got Frazz’s comment, I believe, but what is with the boat and airplane? Is there something related to the kid’s comments I’m not seeing? Or are they just examples of things that make different kinds of noises? If so, that’s a little random, no? Why not a rhinoceros and a blender? They make different noises.

  2. @ Stan – The cargo ship’s foghorn and a jumbo jet are compared (in terms of volume) to the teacher’s sneeze and/or nose blowing.

  3. During the cold season he sounds like a ship’s horn when he blows his nose. During the allergy season he sounds like a jet engine when he blows his nose.

  4. I think Frazz meant, in the last panel, that if you could fix either a cold or allergies you’d make a fortune.

    Or maybe not.

    Can you tell? Waffling is my favorite sport.

    Yea, I get that. I was just wondering why those two things. Are ship’s horns and airplanes often compared to people blowing their noses? It’s just that I’ve never heard of those comparisons. Then again, I lead a sheltered life.
